TARA DUGGAN
As a kid, I watched my parents balance raising a family with growing their own company. I saw firsthand the amount of work and dedication it takes to run a successful business.
After I graduated from college, I worked as a writer and later got into professional services marketing. I knew I eventually wanted to be instrumental in growing a company, so I went back to Marquette University for my MBA. I spent several years directing marketing activities of large corporate law firms while my husband focused on growing America’s Best Remodeling LLC.
After our second child was born, I started helping Bo a little bit. Once I got a taste of it, I knew it was time to leave my law firm and devote myself to America’s Best Remodeling LLC full-time. It’s a great challenge, and a lot of fun for me to work with my husband every day to grow this company. We share the goal of instilling our work ethic and values in our two young children, who can often be found running around our offices.
The only downside to this industry is that we are so busy in the summer, which is prime cycling season! It’s getting tricky to fit in Ironman training, but the long rides and runs are a great opportunity for me to have some quiet time to think about new ways to improve our company.
